“Boomers and More "

If you were born between 1946 and 1964 you are considered a baby Boomer. In Post-World War II Americans enjoyed a newfound prosperity. I was born during this period of history that experienced a surge of babies who are currently between 57-75 years old.                                                                                                               The next generation of babies, referred to as Generation X, were born between 1965 and 1980 and are currently between 41-56 years old.

Generation Y, or Millennials, were born between 1981 and 1996 are currently between 25 and 40 years old. “Millennial” was coined in 1989 when the impending turn to the millennium was in the forefront of cultural consciousness.

Then there is Generation Z, the young adults and children born between 1997 and 2013, ages 11-27.

According to Pew Research ‘Boomers’ age 65 and older at 70% have the highest percentage of absolute belief in God. Generation X, ages 50-64 are not far behind with 69% absolute belief in God. Millennials ages 30-49 surveyed at a 62% certainty of belief in God, but Generation Z showed a significant drop with only 51% believing in the existence of God. Some experts state that the decline in faith among America’s youngest represents a danger for civil society itself.
